Routes to enter UK Radiology training and practise

Fellowships

Fellowships in research, diagnostics and intervention are available from individual hospitals, and through the RCR's Global Fellowship Programme

Foundation Programme

Apply directly to the UK Foundation Programme, or an equivalent job which will allow you to demonstrate competency

Combined Programme

The 5-year UK radiology training programme can be shortened if a trainee has had significant experience overseas

Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration

Apply to the GMC to recognise your training and skills in radiology or a subspecialty. Requires GMC registration, an an accepted postgraduate qualification
