Join the IR Juniors Team

We are always looking for passionate medical students and junior doctors to join the IR Juniors team. Each of our major sections has a sub-team that work together to fulfil the aims of that particular IRJ Section. Our main sections are: Careers, Education, Events, Research (UNITE Collaborative),  Student/Junior Engagement, Social Media and Global Health. View our open positions below.

At the start of the academic year, we aim to recruit a new team for the upcoming year. We will be accepting applications for core committee members starting 2022. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates.

Social Media & Communications Officer

As part of the IR Juniors Social Media Subcommittee, you will have the chance to use your creative skills and novel ideas to develop Instagram / Facebook / Twitter posts alongside the other members of the team.

This year we are looking to expand IR Juniors social media by developing educational posts, looking at the role of IR in the lives of students & doctors, and exploring the key research trials in IR – but these are just ideas, and being on the subcommittee provides the opportunity to input your ideas and help IR juniors really stand out!

Regional Leads (2 positions)

As regional lead, you will work under the IR Juniors Medical Student Engagement Subcommittee and coordinate undergraduate IR activities within your region. This involves being in contact with your region's undergraduate radiology societies to collaborate on IRJ national events and help the undergraduate society advertise/provide guidance on local events. You will also liaise with other regional leads to share insights and suggest new ideas!

MedTech Lead (Core)

We are looking for an enthusiastic medical student or junior doctor to run the MedTech section of IR Juniors. Interventional Radiology has always been an innovate field with links to medical technology, particlarly medical devices. We would be looking to develop this new area of IR Juniors and launch initiatives such as educational content in medical technologies, collaborative events and potential expansion to MedTech placements. If you would like to help shape a new role in IR Juniors, then send in a short 250 word manifesto and a copy of your CV to iradjuniors@gmail.com by 31st July 2021!
