Our Aims

Interventional radiology is one of the most exciting and dynamic medical specialties, yet there is still a huge shortage across the UK. Exposure to the field continues very limited as a junior, with many medical students having zero IR teaching in their curriculum, despite the speciality being essential to clinical practice.

IR Juniors is a UK-founded, international group of aspiring interventional radiologists who are passionate about the field and want to help spread the word about what this amazing speciality has to offer. Our aims are to provide medical students and junior doctors with career information, opportunities and events in interventional radiology, and to advocate for minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to the wider public.
